Q: I’m taking 120 mg of Armour thyroid. I feel amazing but my doctor said that I’ve been overtreated because my TSH is 0.04. My T3 and T4 are in normal range at this dose. I intend to continue this dose against my doctor's advice because I feel so good. Is there any benefit to using Thyro-Gold in addition to Armour? February 1, 2010

Most of the people have told me that they reach what they felt was optimal benefits by adding a fairly small amount of Thyro-Gold, from 1-to-3 capsules. Most people who weren’t taking other thyroid hormone products have told me that they got optimal benefits by taking 4 and 6 capsules per day.

Keep in mind that various food constituents and supplement ingredients, especially calcium, bind some thyroid hormone when they are in the GI tract at the same time.
